The saddle fits perfectly inside Palmerini aesthetic and sensibility and, as expressed by the Art historian Ludovico Gierut, is characterized by “full dynamism, intense and great moulding and preparation”. It belongs to the last part of the life of the artist, who died prematurely, and it was exhibited for the first time in 1927 at the 7th Exhibition of the Society of the Enthusiast and Lovers of Fine Arts in Rome and, in the same years, at the 2nd International Exhibition in Rijeka. It represents a young by naked, with his arms bended over his head recalling the title.
