The bronze was presented for the first time at the 7th Rome Quadriennale, that happened in the Palazzo delle Esposizioni from 1955 November 22nd to 1956 April 30th, with Fausto Pirandello as president of the jury and Giacomo Manzù as the winner for the “Sculpting” category.

The “rooster” has been a great success, it was mentioned in an article of the newspaper “Terra e Sole” dated 1956 February 1st and on the Florence newspaper “Giornale del Mattino” it was described by M. Landi as “with an ironic plasticism”.

Between 1957 and 1960 in was also part of the series of objects of the solo shows at the Strozzina in Florence, at the Cocchini Gallery in Livorno, in Rome and in Brescia. .
